Saving Network Bandwidth
Introduction
All Brother print servers support a variety of different
protocols. These protocols are enabled as default - as we
have no way of knowing what kind of network environment the
printers will be installed into. As some of these protocols
generate network traffic, it can be beneficial to disable
the protocols you do not use to reduce the quantity of traffic
on your network. The BRAdmin Professional software has been
enhanced so that you can mass configure several different
options. This means that with very little effort it is possible
to disable all the unused protocols on your Brother print
server.
Disabling Protocols
Start the BRAdmin Professional software.

Highlight all the printers that you wish to configure and
then right click the list or select the 'Control | Configure
Print Server (multiple)' option. You will then see a configuration
screen similar to the one below:

In this screen you can mass configure options, for example,
if you wish to disable all the protocols that you do not require,
simply disable the necessary protocols by selecting each protocol
on the 'Control' tab. When you have finished configuring these
items, click the 'OK' button. The BRAdmin Professional software
will then prompt you for a print server password, enter the
password and the configuration details will be sent to each
printer on the network.
