The Brother printer driver un-installer tool is designed to automatically remove any Brother printer drier files from your system. We generally recommend that the tool is used to delete any previous drivers before you attempt to install an updated drier.

How to use the tool
After downloading and extracting the uninstaller software you will see four files:
Brunins.ini
Pdrvinst.dll
Bpdunins.dll
Brunins.exe

To start the Brother Uninstaller software run the 'brunins.exe' file.
You will then see a screen similar to the following:

From this screen we can see all drivers that are installed on the PC.
To uninstall a driver simply click the driver name and then
click the "Uninstall" button.

You'll be asked if you're sure you wish to delete the driver. Click "OK".
You'll then see a "Please wait..." message on the screen while the driver is deleted from your system.
You will then see the following screen:

- Click the "OK" button and re-boot your PC.
The selected driver is now removed from your system.
Advanced Features
The Brother Uninstaller software also allows you to disable specific features within the driver. For example, if you wish to disable the "Web Update" button with in the support tab of the driver, you can click the "Options" tab and click the "Uninstall" option next to Web Update. This will modify the selected drier and remove the web update software from your PC.
You can remove the following driver features:

Brownie (Status monitor) - this software does a variety of different things.
One of it's feature is to monitor the status of the Brother device through the parallel/USB
or network interface. When there is a problem an icon can appear in the task tray
of Windows®. By uninstalling this option, you disable this monitoring feature.

Web Update - many Brother Printer drivers can be automatically update
by clicking the "Web Update" option in the"Support" tab
of the driver. By uninstalling this option you disable this feature.

Print Processor (WinNT/2K/XP) - many Brother printer drivers for Windows NT®,
Windows® 2000 and Windows® XP use a special Brother print processor.
A print processor is a piece of software that processes some of the less commonly
used driver functions such as watermark printing and poster printing.
By uninstalling this option, you disable these features.

Brpar.sys (WinNT/2K/XP) - This file is used for bi-directional communication
when using the parallel interface. By uninstalling this option you will disable
all parallel port bi-direction communication.
- XP spl Service (Win2K/XP) - The Print Processor on Windows® 2000 and Windows® XP uses the XP spool service file. By uninstalling this option effectively stop using the Brother Print Processor.
