The e-mail alert function allows the printer to send an e-mail
to a nominated person when there is a problem.
Now the Brother printer offers improved e-mail alert features
which further enhances this feature.
In the past a printer would send an e-mail as soon as the printer
ran out of paper. Since the release of the HL-7050N printer, the printer can send an e-mail
as soon as the printer runs out of paper, but more importantly, it can be configured
to send an e-mail if the printer remains in that error state for a number of minutes,
or if the printer goes into that error state over a number of times.
To configure the e-mail alert feature, use either the Web BRAdmin software or
connect to the embedded web server built into the printer.
